Ring Net Rockfall Systems Protect Areas Around Slopes from Rockfall Impacts

Ring net rockfall systems are a type of passive protection system composed of hexagonal wire mesh and steel wire ring net, used for rockfall protection and prevention of geological disasters in various slopes, avalanche slopes, bank erosion, blasting rocks, and rockfall materials.

  • Galvanized or galfan steel wires.
  • Special discount for large orders.
  • Project reference can be supplied for your bid.
  • SGS Test Report can be provided.
  • CAD or 3D drawing can be supplied for your design and construction.
The ring net rockfall protection system is installed to prevent rockfalls.

Specifications of Steel Wire Ring Net

  • Wire Diameter: 3 mm.
  • Ring Diameter: 300 mm or 350 mm.
  • Connection Method:
In the ring net rockfall systems, each ring is connected to four adjacent rings.

    Four contiguous rings

In the ring net rockfall systems, each ring is connected to six adjacent rings.

    Six contiguous rings

Structure

  • Ring wire mesh. Combined with steel ring nets, it blocks small rocks or soil during natural disasters (mesh size is generally 60 × 80 mm or 80 × 100 mm).
  • Steel ring net. Made of high-strength steel wire twisted into circles, circles are interconnected to form a steel ring net, with high load-bearing capacity and more flexibility than steel wire rope nets.
  • Pressure relief ring. Place along the steel wire ring net to reduce pressure. Made of hot-dip galvanized metal, it is corrosion-resistant and rust-proof.
  • Support rope: Made of stainless steel wire rope, it has high tensile strength, supports the steel wire rope and pressure relief ring, and can withstand significant impact forces.
  • Steel column. Installed on the base foundation, it supports the steel wire ring net, and is corrosion-resistant and rust-proof, with high tensile strength. Arrangement can be adjusted according to terrain and environment.
  • Base foundation. It is used to secure the steel column, treated with hot-dip galvanization to prevent corrosion and rust.

Advantages

  • Suitable for rock slopes of any steepness, without considering the physical and mechanical properties of the ground.
  • Only a minimal number of anchor points are needed to secure the top support rope at the edge of the slope.
  • A top-down installation method is used to ensure that the installation personnel are always in a safe area.
  • The accumulation area of debris at the bottom of the slope is easy to clean mechanically, without the need for special equipment.
  • The rockfall curtain requires no maintenance.
  • There are no weak points in the design.
